Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 19, 2020

On www.celares.com, we, the celares GmbH (the “Data controller”), process personal data according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union to the extent necessary to provide a functional website, its contents and services. Therefore, we only process your personal data if the processing is necessary for the purposes of our “legitimate interests” in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. GDPR. Otherwise, we will first obtain your consent. In detail, the following data are processed on our website:

Browser data

Whenever you visit a website – not just our website -, your browser automatically sends data to the web server such as the internet protocol (IP) address, browser type, referring pages, operating system, browser version and a time stamp. These data are stored in log files, which are used to administer the website and generate daily statistics on the performance of our website. We neither have the means nor do we intend to link these data to personal identifiable information. Log files are stored with anonymized IP addresses. These files will be deleted after 8 weeks at the latest.

Cookies

Cookies are small pieces of data stored in the browser. There are several use cases for cookies:

  • Session cookies are stored until a user logs out of a website or until the browser is closed. Since our website does not require you to login, no session cookies are set by our website.
  • Persistent cookies are used so that the browser “remembers” a user’s preferences or settings across multiple sessions. Since our website does not record any user settings, no persistent cookies are set by our website.
  • Tracking cookies are used to follow a users path on one or multiple websites. Since we do not track our users, no tracking cookies are set by our website.

Since we do not use any cookies, you may deactivate the use of cookies in your browser completely, when visiting our website.

Third-party content

Websites may choose to embed content from elsewhere like, for example, embedding a video from YouTube. However, embedded content behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Therefore, we use third-party content only if it adds value to the user experience, if the third party does not set any cookies, and if their privacy policy follows the standards of the GDPR.

Currently, the only third party content that we use is Openstreetmap, a collaborative cartography project. On our website, we embed their map in order to show visitors our location. See the privacy policy of the Openstreetmap Foundation.

Our website and its assets are hosted in Germany. Our provider, Ionos, is contractually bound to the GDPR as well.

Contact form

If you choose to contact us, the following data are collected: your email, your name, your title (if applicable) and your message. You may also submit your company name and your phone number, which is not mandatory. These data will be collected for the sole purpose of processing your request. We will not share them with third parties. The data are kept until your request is completed or until you let us know that you want them deleted.

Updates to this privacy policy

celares GmbH reserves the right to amend this privacy policy, if required by regulatory changes or if the services of our website are updated. For this reason, we request you to regularly consult this Privacy Policy.
